We are independently owned with an excellent reputation for quality and friendly service.

Mellor Road Garage originally opened in 1969. In the early years it was managed by Philip Day, who later went on to form a Partnership with John Fletcher. Phil & John established the business to provide a friendly, personal and efficient service to their customers, working together for over 25 years. Following Philip's retirement, John took over the business.

The original staff have all worked at the garage for over 35 years, and are thus well trusted and knowledgeable within their workplace

You can be assured that your vehicle is being worked on by a fully qualified mechanic with many years’ experience in the motor trade.

We can operate to the latest motor manufacturers' service schedules or we can service a vehicle as found to be necessary or as per the customers' requirements

The services we offer include MOT testing, diagnostics, servicing and repairs to all makes and models, batteries, wheel balancing, tracking/wheel alignment.

Our staff do not work on a commission basis and your vehicle will only be worked on by a fully-qualified mechanic.

We provide a stamp for your service booklet and also have the technology to switch out and reset service lights.

We do not proclaim to be the ‘cheapest’, and whilst we could offer to match a competitor’s ‘service’ price, like most things in life, we feel you get what you pay for. Our preference wherever possible is to fit good quality, reputable branded parts that are known and respected within the Motor trade, such as Bosch, NGK, Yuasa, FAI, Suplex, WIX, NAP and Apec.

We also fit manufacturer’s original equipment, depending on the availability and price.
